A Healing Creative Beginning

My journey began by gently deconstructing bins of jewelry, doilies, beads, and ribbons from my mother and mother-in-law, then turning them into fresh, joy-filled keepsakes.

Meet the Maker: Dawn Bradshaw

Hi, I’m Dawn! After losing my Mother and Mother-in-law, I was left with bins of beautiful old jewelry, beads, and lace. When I was finally ready, deconstructing those memories to create bright, new treasures became my healing journey. Creating high-quality, happy items at gentle prices is my favorite way to keep busy and spread joy. I know our Mothers would be so proud to see these pieces bringing smiles to your day.

Meet Daisy Dahl, our darling black Yorkipoo and the official heart of The Daisy Basket! Daisy is involved in every step of the creative process, right by my side as supervisor, official lap-warmer, and chief product inspector. Whether I’m wrapping tumblers, stringing colorful beads, or packing up your handmade goodies, Daisy is right there ensuring every single piece is crafted with extra love, comfort, and plenty of cozy tail wags.

How I Create

I begin by sorting through jewelry, doilies, beads, and ribbons, then gently deconstruct and clean each piece. Next, I play with colors and textures until a design feels balanced, useful, and a little whimsical. Finally, I wrap, bead, or print everything by hand, checking the details carefully so your cup, tee, or keychain feels like a small, meaningful treasure.

I LOVE my Silicone Wristlet from the daisy basket. With so many colors to choose from, I was able to get my favorite color. It feels good to the skin when on your arm. Its large enough to easily find in an oversized purse. Also, no nail breaking key ring to attach your keys to. It has an easy to open clasp. I like everything about it.
